1. What does MAKNET stand for?

3. How is MAKNET governed?
MAKNET is  steered by a Project Steering Committee (PSC) comprising 9 members; the Project Director is an ex-officio member of the PSC, serving as its secretariat. The PSC meets at least twice a year and as necessary. MAKNET Secretariat headed by Project Director  who is the Principal of the Malawi Polytechnic(a constituent of the University of Malawi)  oversees the day to day running of the project. The project has 4 other members including the Programme Officer, the ICT Specialist, Secretary and an Accountant. The financial management of the grant is the responsibility MAKNET secretariat, which follows standard procedures required by the financier, African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).
